Rick L. Brunner
Partner
Rick L. Brunner has been a Partner at the law firm of Brunner Quinn for the last 23 years of his 35 years practicing law. Previously, Mr. Brunner was a Principal and Attorney with the law firm of Fry & Waller Co., LPA in Columbus.
Mr. Brunner is experienced in handling complex corporate litigation matters, providing innovative public affairs strategies, and guiding clients through regulatory and governmental compliance challenges. He has appeared or participated in litigation and administrative matters in California, New York, Texas, Arizona, New Mexico, Michigan, Illinois, Delaware, Utah, Idaho, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, and South Carolina. In addition, Mr. Brunner has significant experience in representing businesses, government officials, individuals and non-profits in the fields of election law, health care law, governmental affairs, and construction law.
Mr. Brunner also serves as counsel and advisor to numerous small businesses and lectures as a continuing legal education instructor. Mr. Brunner is a member of various Boards and Committees, including the Ohio Supreme Court’s Commission on Rules and Practice in Ohio’s Courts and is the past State Chairperson of the Ohio Judicial Family Network.
Mr. Brunner resides in Columbus, Ohio has been married to former Ohio Secretary of State Jennifer Brunner for over 30 years; together they have three adult children and have also raised three foster children.

Patrick M. Quinn
Partner
Patrick M. Quinn is an Attorney and Partner with Brunner Quinn. Mr. Quinn joined The Firm as a law clerk and paralegal in 1999 and later as an Attorney in 2007.
Mr. Quinn completed his undergraduate degree in Political Science at Miami University in 2002. He attended Capital University Law School, graduating Summa Cum Laude in 2007 with his Juris Doctorate. Mr. Quinn is admitted to practice in Ohio and in the U.S. District Court, Southern District of Ohio.
Mr. Quinn is experienced in representing clients in business transactions and litigation, including mergers and acquisitions, administrative and regulatory compliance, employment issues, and insurance disputes with a focus on the unique needs to small and medium-sized businesses. In addition, Mr. Quinn represents candidates, ballot issue committees and PACs in election law and campaign finance matters.
Mr. Quinn is a member of the American, Ohio State, and Columbus Bar Associations. He is also a member of the ABA Litigation Section.
Mr. Quinn resides in Columbus, Ohio with his wife, Kate, and their daughter, Madeline.

Steven M. Brown
Of Counsel
Steven M. Brown has been practicing law for 24 years. Before becoming Of Counsel to Brunner Quinn in 2002, Mr. Brown practiced in firms engaged in criminal defense, insurance defense, business representation and tort cases on behalf of plaintiffs.
Since 1987, Mr. Brown’s law practice has focused primarily upon criminal defense and plaintiff’s representation in injury and death cases and professional negligence matters. He has appeared or participated in hearings before trial courts, appellate courts, administrative agencies and arbitrators and has tried more than 40 jury trials in state and federal courts. Mr. Brown serves as a presenter at continuing legal education seminars involving jury trial practice.
Mr. Brown is admitted to the Ohio bar and has been admitted to practice in federal trial and appellate courts in Ohio, New York and California. He is also a member of the Columbus and Ohio State Bar Associations.
Mr. Brown also serves as Worship Leader at Mountview Baptist Church in Upper Arlington, Ohio.
Mr. Brown resides in Hilliard, Ohio with Ann, his wife of 27 years. Steve and Ann have 3 children, ages 18, 22 and 23.
